Welcome to my website of One Of A Kind barbie dolls. Those are "TOTAL REPAINTS" - all original paints were removed and repainted with artist quality acrylic paints and sealers. All clothes are handmade. I use various versions of Ken or Barbie as palettes for my artistic expression. If a complex historical hairstyle can't be achieved with the existing figure, I reroot the hair, trim, perm and apply finishing touches that may include hand-applied beads or braided fibers.
Just a little about myself...
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
THank you for looking!!
All the best,
I got him! He is sooooo perfect! I don't know how you do it.....you are amazing! I will most likely be ordering another character from that same show at the end of this month. Hello, when I saw this doll I started to cry, I am a huge fan of Andy Whitfield. When he passed I was devastated. You created a exquisite replica of him. I would love to own him and Gannicus. I had to tell you what a fabulous job you did on gorgeous gladiators.
I just had to tell you that I stumbled upon your website by accident when I was surfing the Internet for a Phantom of the Opera doll. I know Barbie had issued a set awhile back and I was interested to see what was out there and available. Then I came across your website.Oh, my gosh! I could not believe what I saw. You had Egyptian dolls! Viktoriya, my whole living room is decorated in ancient Egyptian furniture and replicas. I love ancient Egypt! Then I saw your Pharaohs! They are awesome!!!!!! Incredible!! I love Khufu. I was blown away over what I saw. There were so many of them. Each were different. But, it didn't end there.....Since I originally was in search of a Phantom of the Opera doll, I had to check out what you had in that category. I happen to be a big Gerard Butler fan and I loved him in that movie. And what did I find? You had a collection of dolls depicting the various roles Gerard Butler played!! How cool was that? First Egyptian dolls, now Gerard dolls. Phantom Gerard doll was so very wonderful. I loved how you presented his face and the costumes were right on. And your Attila? He was as hot as he was in that miniseries.
Seriously, by the time I was done, I think I looked at every doll you had on your site. You are one very talented artist.
You do marvelous work and it was a real treat to that. I'm so glad I came across your website. Keep up the good work.
This week I noticed a very detailed Ken doll repaint dressed as King Louis XIV that appeared in the current batch of auctions. When I checked out the site of the vendor I discovered that this doll is another OOAK produced by the same artist as the Leonidas doll I featured last year. A further exploration of her website, revealed that the artist, Viktoriya Hawthorne, has actually produced a number of very detailed Ken and Barbie repaints - many costumed as historical personalities.
As I browsed her gallery I was particularly struck by the detail and design elements exhibited by her Egyptian-themed dolls. They spanned thousands of years of pharaonic history from the first recognized pharaoh, Menes to the the most famous warrior pharaoh, Thutmose III, to the ill-fated Macedonian temptress, Cleopatra with various other monarchs like Khufu, the pyramid builder, Tut, the boy king, and Nefertiti, wife of one of the world's first monotheists, Akhenaton, sprinkled in between.
Of course I was thrilled to see her interpretation of my favorite conqueror, Alexander the Great, decked out in finery as depicted in Oliver Stone's film, Alexander. I have an Alexander the Great 12" "action" figure released by Dragon in Dreams a few years ago but his costume is not nearly as elaborate as the one created by Viktoriya. Whoever ended up with this imaginative portrait is a very fortunate collector!
Hi, Viktoriya, The new Cleopatra arrived today. I really appreciate how fast you are when sending out your dolls. You always post a lot of great pictures on eBay so we can see the dolls, but this time, good as the pictures were, they didn't do her justice. She needs to be seen in person. What a work of art! You must have spent hours on the headdress alone. It looks exactly like the one in the movie. You manage to get all the detail while keeping everything in proportion so nothing overwhelms the finished piece. I have some experience working with tiny things, and I know how hard that is to do. Small things are really harder to work on than larger things. Your tailoring of the costumes is the same way. Everything looks like you just shrank a real garment. The repaint on this one is beautiful as are all your repaints. Once again the doll has her own special look.
Hi, Viktoriya! The doll arrived today and as always exceeded my expectations. The costume is beautiful. The coat is even prettier than the one in the movie. I especially like the way you did the eyebrows on this doll. They give her a thoughtful, serious expression which really fits the Battle of Actium scene from which the costume came. The more I look at your dolls the better I like them, taking time to appreciate all the details. It seems an understatement to call them "dolls". They are really objects of art. Thanks again for all your hard work!
I just wanted to let you know that I stumbled across your OOAK Ken Napoleon doll. He is utterly flawless! I have never seen such a PERFECT ooak!
Viktoriya, What a talent you have! I want to let you know how pleased I am with your work. My home is almost entirely decorated in ancient Egyptian decor. Your dolls add a very special touch to my collection. You have a fine eye for detail and a terrific talent for reproducing it. Your beautiful dolls capture those costumes perfectly. You are really clever in your use of peacock feathers and your construction of crowns, jewelry, and accessories. Your work has found a good home where it will be much appreciated and well cared for. I look forward to seeing more from you. Keep up the great work.Ron

Nefertiti doll exquisiteHi, Vicky, Just a note to tell you Nefertiti Barbie has arrived safely and my friend was thrilled by this wonderful surprise, as was I-- it exceeded all my expectations, and I know it will be the showcase item in her collection. My only problem is that I don't see how anything I might give her in the future could possibly top your creation! In any case, thank you again for your wonderful art and skill in creating this doll.

Vicky, when I saw that package was from you, my heart immediately began to beat faster and I could feel goosebumps all over. I unwrapped her so carefully, and as I did, I was amazed at each intricate & exquisite detail of her. The beadwork is extremely detailed and beautifully done. The time involved must have been very tiring, because the extensiveness of the beadwork alone, is breathtaking and stunning. Her hair is just like I imagined it would be! Her dress is even beautiful on the backside, as well. Even intricate beadwork there too!! I'm extremely impressed!! The featherwork and jewelry is amazing, as well. Her face is like an angel of peace. She feels mine through & through. I can't express how grateful I am and how truly wonderful she makes me feel. She is very close to my heart. She will be treasured in my lifetime, and the lives of my descendents. BRAVO!!!
